Continuing Education for Professionals

Education is a vital component to understanding and influencing key issues affecting older adults. Drawing on our experience of providing services to Bay Area seniors for over two decades, IOA is pleased to share our knowledge in the field of aging. The IOA Education Department provides numerous professional seminars, conferences and continuing education opportunities each year. Additionally, our experts are available by request to present to groups on a wide variety of topics related to aging.

Institute on Aging is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Institute on Aging maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Monthly Professional Education

IOA offers monthly scheduled education for professionals. Speakers cover topics ranging from how to improve communication with clients with dementia to understanding the role of spirituality when working with aging and disabled clients.
