Temporary Respite Caregiver Support

Caring for a loved one can often require a helping hand. Short-term financial assistance is now available to help relieve the caregiver burden.

Together with the San Francisco Department of Disability and Aging, IOA is offering temporary grants for in-home care and Adult Day Program services.

Call 415.750.4111 and reference β€œRespite Grant” to learn more, or complete the Intake Form to the right.

Eligibility Requirements

Are you eligible to receive the Temporary Respite Caregiver Support Grant?

  • I reside in San Francisco
  • I am 18 or older
  • I provide unpaid in-home care to an adult who also resides in San Francisco and:
    • Is 60 or older; or
    • Is 18 or older and living with one or more disabilities; or
    • Is 18 or older and living with a cognitive impairment

If you are interested in this Temporary Respite Caregiver Support Grant, call Institute on Aging at 415.750.4111 for a pre-screening, or complete the form on the right and reference “respite grant.”

 

This program serving the community is funded by the City of San Francisco’s Department of Disability and Aging Services.
