The Adults With Disabilities (AWD) Home Delivered Meal Program

The Adults with Disabilities Home Delivered Meal Program is available for adults with disabilities who have no meal support and are unable to provide meals for themselves. The Program is funded by DAAS (Department of Aging and Adult Services) and administered by Institute on Aging (IOA).

Who We Serve

Disabled adults between the ages of 18 and 59 who would be at risk without a home delivered meal and/or have difficulty accessing nutritionally balanced meals on a daily basis. The program is aimed at providing support to low-income individuals.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Limited caregiver support
  • Inability to get to congregate meal site
  • Inability to grocery shop
  • Inability to prepare meals
  • Inability to consistently secure nutritious meals
  • At risk of health decline or institutionalization without consistent nutritious meals

Fees

A small suggested donation is requested. Eligible participants will be given an opportunity to donate. No eligible participant will be denied a meal because of inability to contribute.
